Breaking News - 19.12.2023:
Well this time, Solista Solista Solista CTG is said the last word, impressive!
The good news:is that Mr. Eduard's books for 1st time is became Champion..
Plus other good news, Mr. AJ's Lion book for 1st time became Champ as well
Sure, Grendel, Alchemist, Dragon Tooth etc. are performed very good too!
Be aware, via latest update 25 opening books are entered..e.g one of them is
OrangeSuite is new strong CTG (by Mr Angel Morano) submitted today/tested..
As other CTG book entries: Alchemist, DarkGalactus, Feta and FireOnBoard
On the other hand, I admit also that mostly strong Trend books are suffered..!
Due to current contest is played with limited book settings (up to 10 moves)
But this is also true that (like every book), some lines need to be optimized..
At least I can say for my books, I will check more closely about weaknesses..
To be more clear regarding why I preferred with book settings up to 10 moves
1st of all, rather I'd say about the current tour, as experimental book testing..
Because via this tour, for 1st time, CTG books are played under CuteChess
And if we are going deeper (in lines) via CTG: this time the risk is increasing!
As I stated earlier, some of green lines are not used to play...this is a BUG !
If still not clear, sure not always...but quite frequently I noticed that instead of
The green lines, the disabled opening moves are used to play...and not only
Via SF-SCCT engine, unfortunately this bug contains in all..(with CTG future)
But up to 10 moves, it seems to be more safe, otherwise CTG books would
Not be ranked one of best, if nothing else many CTG ones proved to be so!
Meanwhile, the latest strength results are on Openchess and on Goi forum
Otherwise some may have confusions that SF-SCCT is stronger..but it's not..
Here..under these conditions the main role about gaining better points is that,
A very well-hand tuning is required...and the opening repertoire have to be
Quite limited and to be used the strongest Trend openings..just one example
Balsa, Perfect or Unique book's openings would never gain higher points vs
Current Top trend books, because I've used to play many various openings..
Otherwise, if using a small number lines then wouldn't be boring for tests?
Sure I 'm referring about Eng testings (not for Book tours), one thing more,
Plus X engine's strength can not be determined by a few Trend openings!
Anyhow, I'm satisfied with my used openings, at least they are not so weak..
For anyone missed, the other my created book is Sun, played in: BN XXII
And if I'm not wrong, I spent minus plus 10 minutes for Sun book's creation
Ok. chess friends the tour is over, thank you and my congratulations to all!
And I hope you like my efforts?! e.g just for this posting I spent many time..

Public Book Champion: Solista - My Congratulations to Eduard Nemeth!
Prıvate Opening Book Champion Lion - Congratulations to AJ Lamprecht!

Dear Chess Friends )

As usual, I am very pleased to announce that:
I started running a new Champion of Champions tourney!
Note: All Champion books will be played by Raubfish SC

To be more clear, where this time:
CTG opening books will be played under Fritz GUI too,
And as opponents will be only Champions authors work!
But with the Number Ones, which belong to only 2023!
I did not touch the ancient, very old-dated Champ books,
Because I think that they have no much chances at all..
Or Perfect 2023, since it is not a deep opening book!
But for anyone missed, in the past they were as 'beast' !!

Ok...and let's see in the last days, weeks of 2023 year,
Who will manage to be latest Champion of Champions?!
Any guess ? Yes.. as we see, it is hard to estimate...
Because here all are very dangerous opponents,
And I admit also that mostly are new, but some of
The Champions books are already old-dated too,
But no way all books to be new...because unfortunately
Many of Champion authors are not active...besides,
I have no much free time, patience to wait.. )
Thanks for your understanding...

Champions Book Participants:
C.B Conqueror by Hamdullah Can
Dark Galactus V3 by Vaiebhav
DON 240923 by Vasid Chouhan
Everest 300923 by Ivan Alekseev
Feta 7 by Vladislav Belikov
Goddess by Olivier Charles
Grendel 081023 by Massimiliano Goi
LesChats 151223 by Jorge Centelles
Lion 110423 by AJ Lamprecht
OlisFish 201123 by Skynet (Alex)
ORIONPAX3 by Roger Constantinesco
Red Dragon by Ian Hurnavich
Sambala by Cevdet Sarı
Solista 070823 by Eduard Nemeth
StudentChess by Ethan Smith
Unicornio by Angel Morano

Good luck to all

Kind Regards,

1st Update of Champion of Champions Tournament,
Which is playing with Blitz Time Control: 2min+1sec

Note that BIN competition is already ended,
Where under Fritz GUI...still a long way to go...
Due to Fritz GUI has no option of Parallel matches..

For examples, for comparing Fritz Vs Cutechess GUIs:
Cutechess managed to compete 1650 games in about 3 hours
Cutechess's Concurrent option was 60 (in Game-Play mode),
Where Fritz GUI will complete 1950 games in about 15 hours
Note: 16 portable Fritz GUIs are running (in same time)
So in the end, each book player will consist min 450 games

And here are BIN's books standings (played under Cutechess)
As usual, Everest is managed to take the lead..unstoppable!
Sure for right now...let's see what will be standings vs CTG too..

Code: Select all

Rank Name Elo +/- Games Score Draw

   7 C.B Conqueror 3 13 300 50.5% 89.7%
   8 LesChats 151223 0 8 300 50.0% 95.3%
   9 Red Dragon -16 14 300 47.7% 87.3%
  10 StudentChess -27 14 300 46.2% 87.7%
  11 Lion 110423 -53 18 300 42.5% 77.0%

1650 of 1650 games finished.
To be more clear,
CTG opening books are under test too, not sure exactly,
But very likely tomorrow all the games will be completed...
And please stay tuned... it's one of greatest tours for sure!

Breaking News - 24.12.2023:
Another very special championship organized...but this time as players:
Only by Champions book authors..as usual the winner DON DON DON
Frankly, I am a little bit surprised...because there are many newer vers.
But it seems DON book's used TREND openings are superior strong...!
Actually here mostly of books are super strong too..some suffer..due to
They are old-dated already but C.B Conqueror (9 months old) still good..
And let Me say please a few words more about SCCT tours..regarding
Why I used to play under these cond. (I mean why Raubfish SC for all)
You may know or not...Many of SF based ones (as NON-NNUE) produce
Very high-draws..to be more clear, even as NON-NNUE..close draws or
Even higher than Raubfish SC as main difference is that (between them)
They are much weaker (for example, minus plus 250 Elo points) or other
Example, if using latest Top engine/s...sure they are stronger, but not so
Much as it looks I say 15-20 Elo, for anyone missed check / learn: Results
But let's say that we used to play. one of the latest, strongest Top engines
Then be sure.'fun' is dead..you may know, as usually I say over this issue:
To see a 'win'. it's something like Looking for a needle in a haystack..
What's point of using BIG umbrella? if almost no any drop rain on horizon...
Yes..87% draw-ratio is really not HIGH numbers for under Blitz conditions,
If still not so clear, I mean if we are using latest Top NNUE engines for all..
Then I suggest strongly min. 400-500 games (per player) vs various ones,
Because with a few wins...not as serious data to say such as best of best..
And this is not as joke... why I say like that? otherwise, the Error-margin
Can be too high e.g via 100-200-300 games etc. may lead to completely
Wrong conclusions about the real power, strength of the opening books!
Sure, I respect all other tours too..anyone is free to run at any conditions...
But at least now you see my point of view and I feel much better for sure!
Because time to time I have to make these statements, otherwise some
May start to complain that Raubfish is bad, crab (as before).....actually
The 'real' Champions never complain, because they are too busy with
Getting better..if nothing else mostly successful authors prefer that way..
Meanwhile, for more info about current tour on Goi + Openchess forums

Champion of Champions:: DON - Congratulations to Vasid Chouhan!
I admit also ORIONPAX, Everest, Goddess Unicornio etc are beast too!

Breaking News - 04.01.2024:
Happy New Year! Wishing you good health, happiness and success in 2024!
Here is just another book championship and what is new? via current contest,
All books are played by ShachChess 32 vs Zeus 26.5 and based on testings,
Both engines are performed almost identically..download the strength GAMES
Note that tested many other candidate engines (with over than 40.000 games)
But I've picked the BEST, less Drawish..sure I'm referring, which are very close
To 3750 Elo points..as you may see, current draw-ratio is not so so high: 92%
Yes..still acceptable..because some other engines produce 98%-99% draws!
Yes. under these new cond. the played Bullet games can be considered Blitz
I mean, if we are going to compare with older tours (played by Raubfish SC)
In other words, I'm doing my best for more fun and for better strength games!
And I think that current tour is not so bad in quality...sure there is possibility to
Switch again to Raubfish...we will see..time will tell...but at least now, via new
Tour cond. some other authors may have chances to be Number One...why I
Say like that.. e.g I am perfectly aware that some are not happy with Raubfish
Ok..here is different cond..and what is changed? as we see..not much..again
DON, ORIONPAX, OPTIMUS, SENTINEL etc are one of the Best/Top ranks..
I admit also, Leschats 291223 (non-playchess ver) is doing very good so far...
Btw, DON Hercules's draw ratio is one of the lowest 88%, where unfortunately
OlisFish 201123 (by Skynet) is a strong, but draw master, current 97% draws
Sure..there is nothing impossible, but before..I suggest harder, original work !)
And with serious beta testings before sharing...otherwise...no much chances!
Anyhow..it is just a fun competition.. enjoy..and good luck to all book entries )

The Current Leader: DON Hercules 3 - My Congratulations to Vasid Chouhan!
Note: Any Book Leader (after 500 games per player) will be titled Champion

It seems that correcting the most relevant games has improved the book for the tournament. And look how complicated it is with so many games played. Thanks for your Sedat tournaments.

Breaking News - 06.01.2024:
A BIG update 28 entries and as usual standings, draw stats etc changed too
Actually quite normal...you know more better...e.g mostly Top books contain
Over than 1000+ games (per player) and now is more clear, which Engines,
Books are Stronger more Drawish.. and just out of curiosity Everest book
Via Kayra 1.5 engine is played too, yes...the overall draw difference is huge!
Btw, Kayra is almost identical in strength to the both ShachChess and Zeus
So it's very clear that, Everest + Kayra produced about 7% less draw values..
And why less draws? ok.. here is the answer: mainly due to Book Settings,
Because both ShachChess and Zeus prefer to play more various openings
Sure as other reason, Kayra engine seems to be more Aggressive, better
Dynamic style of play and now some may ask: why Kayra is not used for all
Well, for some reasons, e.g Kayra vs Kayra book matches are too Drawish
Actually this is also true Zeus vs Zeus or ShachChess vs ShachChess are
Too Drawish too...I mean much higher than the current overall draw values...
In other words, I preferred as main engines ShachChess and Zeus due to
Both engines are used to play more various openings (sure when BM OFF)
Of course, in my next book tours... I may use Kayra as main engine as well..
And let Me say a few words about the current Leading book: DON Hercules
Via current title, only as Hercules vers. managed to be 6-times Champion!!
And to be honest, I can't remember any better, greater record.'best of best' !
Btw, I did not count rest gained DON Champ titles, but believe Me too many..
Sometimes I wonder: how 5 months old opening lines can be so so strong.?
If still no so clear: WHO WİLL STOP 'DON HERCULES '?)
Sure, Red Dragon, ORIONPAX, OPTIMUS, EVEREST etc are great as well
Frankly I am impressed a lot also by Red Dragıon's low draw ratio, just 88%
Note also that as next new entry: Unicornio 2 book will be participant..it will
Be played (as alternative) by Kayra 1.5 engine too so later we can compare..
Meanwhile, for my all previous postings about current championship News

Private Champion: DON Hercules - Congratulations to Vasid Chouhan!
Public Champion: OPTIMUS - Congratulations to Roger Constantinesco!
