Re: INCOGNITO
INCOGNITO 8.2 by Solista. This engine is identical in code to v8.1. New are two brand new networks with Dimension 3072 "nn-90f0299dcd87.nnue" and Dimension 256 "nn-910ffcf2cd40.nnue". In my test, these nets solves many positions more quickly. V8.2 is therefore better than v8.1. If you want, you can also download these two networks --> here https://tests.stockfishchess.org/nns and install them in INCOGNITO v8.1 or v8.

Re: INCOGNITO
What do you mean? It is an engine like any other SF clone engine: for games and analysis. The engine contains Ivan Ivec's CorChess code, but Ivec releases his engine without features such as Polyglot Books, etc. In addition, Corchess uses networks with dimensions 2560 and 128 to this day, Incognito uses networks with dimensions 3072 and now 256. I changed some parameters so that in my opinion they provide better results, especially for analyses. If that's not enough for you, I can delete all my downloads. Do other authors here write more about their engines?

Re: INCOGNITO
I deleted all downloads. Reason: These downloads were also available in the Talkchess forum. I have left the TalkChess forum. In the Talkchess forum, some programmers were mongering against me. Unfortunately, the Rebel author, who is also a moderator there, also recently took part. He even threatened me with a lawyer if I cloned his engine (which is a joke). He is one of the biggest of all cloners, because his engine Rebel 15.1 is a clone of Toga and Fruit (open source engine). He himself clones to the maximum, but judges me because I cloned Stockfish, which, by the way, many people do and is allowed according to the GPL license.
Here is a proof that Rebel 15.1 is a clone of Fruit and Toga. Fruit is from Fabien Letouzey and Toga from Thomas Gaksch.
And what does Rebel make of it? He and his friends train a network and then call the new engine with NNUE not Toga NNUE or Fruit NNUE but Rebel 15.1. With drums they proclaim a new Rebel 15 (Fruit/Toga clone):
I don't want to have anything to do with such hypocrites.

Re: INCOGNITO
It really hurts me when I see how unfair things are in our scene.
Rebel author writes about Rebel 15:
“Credits
Fabien Letouzey, Thomas Gaksch and Jerry Donald Watson for Toga.
Chris Whittington for introducing me into NNUE, providing me with the necessary tools and writing the NNUE interference code. Rebel 15 is released under the GPLv3 license."
This proves that Rebel 15 is a clone of Toga, whose authors are three other programmers. Rebel 15 was released under GPLv3. My SF clones were also released under GPLv3.
Rebel is supported by all the programmers in the Talchess forum, while I am insulted by many. I am accused of boasting, but there can be no greater boasting like that of Rebel 15 (see photo). There is even advertising with bong, bong, bong. I'm discriminated against, but they celebrate the clone Rebel 15 (Toga).
Why doesn't Rebel just leave me alone? He agitated against me until I had no choice but to leave the Talkchess forum (he is a moderator there and also censored some of my postings). He himself clones, but he persecuted me for the same thing. I would like to point out that I was just an example. All other cloners (except Andrea Manzo) do not publish their engines in the Talkchess Forum, but here, or in the Outskirts Forum or in the Open Chess Forum. If you were to do the same as me (in Talkchess), then brace yourself because your haters will persecute you.

Re: INCOGNITO
Hello Eduard,
Just my two cents over these issues )
1st of all,
Do not worry, life is too short to waste your time for such things!
Anyhow sad to read all this..and according to my experience,
Nowadays it's very hard to find any original Top chess engine..
I mean almost all of the 3000+ engines are each other bloody..
In short, I can summarize about eng originality such as
There is a kinship between mostly of them e.g as cousin,
Brother, sister, mother, father etc. )
On other hand, without to not mention this I can not as well,
Let's say..if we will go about 15 years ago...then I wonder too, then
How many programmers can clearly confess that they studied, copied
Many ideas from IPPO (a clone engine based on stolen Rybka) ?)
And in same time, it's interesting to note also that,
Many many are much concentrated over GPL license,
But papers and reality are two different things!
Actually forget everything, via NNUE:
The originality is almost dead at all.. and why I say like that ?
All NNUE engines prefer to play via gaining from previous data ))
And now who can talk about 'originality' ?))
And I respect your great engines and your books as well
Keep up the good work...and thank you very much for all
Greetings )

Re: INCOGNITO
I am in contact with several correspondence chess players. Each of them would like an engine that is super good, but also unique in style, and suggests different moves. But what can be done? No other engine is better than Stockfish. And since NNUE came along, the networks determine eval and the style. I can't change that. In the past, when SF still had the classic eval, it was possible to change a lot more. The first engine I looked at the source code for was Blue Marlin by Dorsz. I used this engine in the prize tournament on InfinityChess, and it played great. Just by changing the piece values, it was possible to change the style. Mobility, king safety, etc. could also be changed.
All of these parameters are no longer available in Stockfish. Andrea Manzo recently created the engine Alexander (ShashChess with classic eval and without NNUE). It has everything that was removed by the developers. Unfortunately, every engine without NNUE plays significantly weaker than with.
