Breaking News (31.08.2024):
1st Stage (2006-2017) is ended..congrats and many thanks to all participants!
Btw the Tie Break match is completed too..where Attacker is managed to win!
2nd DON 15/16 3rd Perfect 16, 4th Experimental book..in other words nice..!
But anyhow, this is just a fun championship...so please do not take too much
Seriously the played results, besides all of them are based books, which are
Created by Me.. but as usual: I have done my best about all of them to prefer
Theirs played openings.. that's why and I wish to say: if there is any weak or
Bad etc. line..Please note that I am NOT responsible for all these weakness!
And this is not a Top secret and I'll try to explain how Perfect 16 bin is created:
In short, Perfect 16 book is tuned to prefer my Playchess 2008/2009's games
About rest / others: in same way is created/used their data (played in SCCT)
On other hand, this is also true that I may share facts/results, where my based
Ones ere not weaker...even some are performed stronger than original ones!!
Anyhow, I hope also that you like my books, efforts, news, tournaments etc.?)
If nothing else... my work does not look to others, right? feel the difference...!
Meanwhile, I have good news: I already started 2nd Stage (2018-2022) too !!
1st Stage (2006 - 2017)'s Champion: Attacker - Congrats to Adriean
Costinescu!

Breaking News (31.08.2024):
Well, here is 2nd Stage (2018-2022)'s 1st results..and to be more clear some
Book names are shorten... for examples: 21/22 = based on 2021-2022 games
As other example: 18/20 means based on between the period 2018-2020 etc.
As in previous..due to not enough games (per book) some vers merged in one
On other hand, the tour is just in beginning so it's early for any conclusions...
Btw, each former Champion minimum 1000 games (per player) will be played..
Be aware of that I hope to create other Number One/s of Playchess too Results
https://sites.google.com/site/computers ... chess-2021
But before I have to check my database archives..if games are missing..sorry..
Wishing best of luck to all Champs/Number Ones and let's the best book wins!
Actually even to be as last rank, it's not shame.. most important.is to have fun
Besides, all of current players proved (over long past years) to be one of best!
Moreover, some of the opening lines are old-dated some newer...etc and etc )
2nd Stage (2018 - 2022)'s Current Leader: DON - Congrats to Vasid Chouhan!

Breaking News (01.09.2024):
Via this update, we've a newer book entrant: T-800 (a Playchess Top player)
Sure it all depends but Online Play is totally different than on same PC Play..
E.g in the past, when I was a frequent Playchess's player, I was with 70% win.
Perc, but on same PC (with close in date strength books) was about 56% win..
Sure with much weaker opponents these win. perc. values can be even higher
In other words, via Online..to get very high-points is easier job for sure, right ?)
Besides to be best on Online exc. very strong book, a fast hardware required...
On other hand, as before, Mr. Angel 's 3 books are still leading..unbelievable!!
What I can say more, the picture is so clear where once more we noticed that
Success is no accident at all...and to be one of the Number Ones is required
Enormous efforts...yes, I create these Champ based ones in short time, about
In 10 min. but no doubt that the original ones are created in much longer time,
Yes many non-book authors will have difficulties to see about what's going on..
But as book maker + tester I tried to make the things more clear.. hope helps!
Note also that current stage is still active and very soon more Number Ones

Re: Sedat Canbaz
UPDATE
Just another new testing, but simply as an unofficial test for comparing,
Where this time, I created a newer DON ver, which tuned to prefer only
NN games played by DON book series (during last months of 2022 year)
And as we see, there is serious influence with over than 54% win. perc.
Really impressive by DON NN...but I think it's normal, since almost all
DON NN 2022 book's opponents are based on weaker (NON-NN) games and
Now I hope you see my point: why my target was for all NON-NN games?!
And once more/for anyone missed (sure I mean about 1st and 2nd stages):
All my created and participated books are based on NON-NNUE games, exc.
T-800 20/21 (a Playchess book), which includes NN games too..in same time
That means T-800 is played via advantage...and I'm sorry for all this trouble,
But reason (including NN games) due to T-800 has no much games as NON-NN..
But all rest are based on NON-NN games.since almost all SCCT tours were
Played under Classic cond (as NON-NN in past) sure in Stage 2023-2024 CS:
All Champ ones are planning to be based/tuned to prefer only NN games..

Re: Sedat Canbaz
UPDATE 2
Well, let's take a look (just for comparing) regarding Elo differences,
E.g between original books vs my recent created derivatives ones..
1st of all, be aware that to expect identical performances is madness!
And due to not enough games: I merged many book vers. in one name..
(Sure here I am referring about my recent created Champ based books)
Moreover, all of them are not played under same test conditions...
As we know, any book performance depends on our used conditions,
But if nothing else..it seems that my based books are not too far
From the original ones, at least if comparing Elo differences, right ?
Besides, some my created based ones even may become stronger...
As main reason I do not allow/import the defeats (weakest) lines,
Sure here I refer about during each my derivatives book creations!
Number Ones CS 2018- 2022 (all are based/derivatives books):
https://sites.google.com/site/computers ... 35-stage-2
BN X (all books are original, exc. GM Champions, it is based one):
https://sites.google.com/site/computers ... -nnue-cs-x
Same PC Elo diff. (based books, played on 2x Epyc 7B12): 53 Elo
Online Elo diff. (original books, played on Playchess): 139 Elo
And both participants played by same CPU: i7-920 @4.00GHz
https://sites.google.com/site/computers ... k-nn-cs-35
Some Remarks (according to my experience over long past years):
Why is there much Elo influence/differences? for some reasons:
1st of all, Rybka3.ctg requires much more games (for accurate Elo),
You may know, 482 games (per player) is good data, but not enough!
As other very important influence (sure here I mean during past..):
Rybka III ctg book was publicly available in those times that means
Its mostly strong opening lines were blocked or became drawish,
Or even some after period of time, they are started to loosing..
Actually this is nothing new..this happens with every public book..
Where Perfect 16 was not public available, plus played with often
Updates, adding newer/stronger moves..even in those old times:
I still remember that I made move optimizations in every hour etc.
Sure not always (24/7) of course... ) but quite frequent for sure...
And that's why and as usually I say over Elo points differences:
Online Play is totally different than on same PC matches, e.g
Some online games are lost on time..some online players are
Lost due to wrong engine or hardware configurations or some
Pardon, even I say quite frequent some lost due to hardware
Speed disadvantage...and mainly for these kind of reasons,
Each online played opening line/game is requited/needed to be
Checked manually and carefully..via analyzing to find stronger
Move...Btw, a small important note more:
This is completely wrong, if checking only at engine outputs!
If still not so clear, Which chess engine says the true to us?
There are many positions, come such as advantage/disadvantage..
Where later White or Blacks are winning/ loosing..that's why,
Sure for better performances: it is required many test-replay...e.g
The same won games..to see this opening is really strong/weak..
Otherwise (without serious tests..) many players may suffer...sure
Here I refer for openings, which are played on same CPU as well
One thing more, unfortunately there is also cheating via Online..
At least on Lichess data: a lot of 'fake' high Elo numbers recorded,
Which gained vs same/several or vs much weaker players.. hehe ))
What a hero are these kind of guys...LOL..In other words,
Come to 'real' Arena (SCCT) and let's see how 'good' you are !)
And just in case, do not blame as engine error/s etc.. because
The 'real' Champions never complain...at least mostly of them..
As reason, these Top book authors are too busy on improving,
Working for over newer stronger ideas that never played before!
And I hope also that
All my produced data, experience etc. will be helpful...
Best Wishes,
Sedat

Re: Sedat Canbaz
Hello there,
Just I'd like to inform that I've realized to run another new CS,
Because, in recent both tours, mostly Champ books lines are
Not participated...so not organizing it..will be BIG miss, right?
Sure later... I hope to organize the planning 2023-2024 CS too
And here are the 1st played results of Number Ones CS -2022:
3rd Stage (2022)'s Current Leader: DON - Congrats to Vasid Chouhan!
597 of 2750 games finished.
Conditions:
2x Epyc 7B12, CuteChess, 1 Core, Ponder OFF, 1m+1s, 128 MB Hash, 4-MEN
All Number Ones are used to play via 9-times Champion: Cfish 030820 C40
More Details:
This time all books are based on only 2022 NNUE games, exc. DON Class, e.g
It is tuned to prefer DON's Champion series, which are played as NON-NNUE
Be aware of that too please, each book player will consist min. 500 games
That's all for now and wishing good luck to all
Greetings
