UPDATE

By the way, I have good news:
As usual, no any game is recorded to be lost on time, great!
Actually, in almost all my organized SCCT book tournaments,
Time forfeits are not appearing at all...due to as far as
Possible (sure before running official championships):
I run serious strength testings..so I pick the best, most
Stable ones...sure which are less Drawish engines too!

And is this all...? not of course..for examples, periodically
I run system optimizing tools (for better PC performance)
And daily checking, such as running CPU speed benchmarks...
And especially in summer time: checking CPU temps etc. plus
No internet connection... against any kind of online threats!

In other words, in my tournament machine:
Just mainly chess programs are installed...

That's all for now... and have a nice weekend )

Best,
Sedat

Breaking News (23.09.2024):
Medium Size CS (16-65 MB) over.. thanks and congrats to all book authors!
Yes..ConRog (Roger's) all books managed to be on Top.. that means a lot..!!
About Messi (Angel Morano) books (even old-dated) performed so good too!
RubiX performed good as well but not enough to be Champ...but it is all right,
No any One can be always as Number One...because it all depends on your
Work + on my used conditions..plus not bad performance come by Tunafish..
Actually many rest entries are performed not too bad as well..Btw, if you ask,
Which of both recent SIZE CS tours are based on stronger book participants?
I'd replay: overall Medium CS's books are stronger than Small...other question,
Which of both tours is harder? sure I'd say: Small CS! and why ?) very simple:
Via larger assistance is easier / stronger...right? Meanwhile, and I admit too:
Especially gaining points vs available public books is easier...sure I refer for
Experienced authors but my respect to all rest authors who never train as well..
You know, not all have free time...or to be interested much...for these reasons,
If any book suffers, I suggest more serious trainings...before wondering why !)
And once more, current tours are as without 'guide' (non-nn help) oh pardon )
Berserk 8.5 is NN..but its size so small (2.4 MB) so it does not matter so much...
Besides mostly played via Cfish (207 KB) and according from past to present
As usual, well-tuned, trained, with newer stronger move ideas etc. perform at
Better/higher ranks.. no more no less... proved and guaranteed..at least most
Tour results indicate this! one thing more, I almost forgot) the old-dated books
Are more potential to suffer unfortunately but no any problem since all for fun!
But this is also true..since many of you are not TD, imagine only new books...
Let's say all books to be released on this month (Sept 2024 )and just in case,
I'd not organize these exiting tours, as reason: because not all authors are
Active nowadays...In other words, I am the boss here ) Ok friends too many
Comments.)..and it's time to concentrate over next Large (66-255 MB) CS

Champion (16-65 MB): SENTINEL again - Congrats to Roger Constantinesco!

Breaking News (23.09.2024):
Large Size CS (66-255 MB) is organized too.. many thanks, congrats to all!
And Messi is again on scene..but this time with best performance in this CS!
About Mr. Hamdullah's both books (Hcan + Varied): 2nd and 3rd.. just great!
LesChats book (by Mr. Jorge) as usually one of best..as we see ranked: 4th
And very important issue is that to be public and to be on Top is not so easy.!
Everest and Athina are very old-dated... but they performed not so bad too!
As same words are going for 2600+...Cevdet2... Goi forum (by Mr. Cevdet)
Impressive points come by RapTora exp (played by Spectral 1.0 NON NN),
Yes..RapTora is same exp, which managed to be Winner: Duel EXP Vs Books
What I can say more, you've to work hard before, your dreams to come true!
And here mostlly played under more fair cond..that's why I feel much better!
Meanwhile, Arasan is latest own book, which played by Arasan 24.1 NNUE
Btw, I almost forgot, what about 1MB book (SCCT/Unique), any opinions?
And as next which CS is still not...?) the Giant one (256 + 1 GB), but soon...

The Champion (66 MB- 255 MB) Chucaro - Congratulations to Angel Morano!

UPDATE

A New NON-NN Strength Test: Cfish vs ShashChess:
2 Elo difference (in favor for Cfish 030820 C40)
That means both are almost identical in strength!

The reason of running current strength test,
Because I hope to include some CTG books too,
Sure I am referring for the next GIANT SIZE CS!

Code: Select all

1 Cfish 030820 C40 +168/-160/=872 50.33% 604.0/1200
2 ShashChess 33.2 +160/-168/=872 49.67% 596.0/1200

By the way, as other good news is that:
Cfish vs Spectral are performed with very close in strength too..
But no free time to share all tests..thanks for understanding
Conditions:
2x Epyc 7B12, CuteChess, 1 Core, Ponder OFF, 1m+06s, 64 MB Hash, 4-MEN

More Details:
Balsa + Unique openings are used for the above both chess engines and
Theirs produced draw ratio is not high, just 72%, with others higher..
E.g other Top engines (with CTG future) produced about 10% more draws
And based on 1200 games: as usually, no any game 'lost on time' nice!
At Bullet, nowadays as without time forfeits: it's a BIG achievement..
Really! and this is not as joke but at least under these cond. is all right )

GAMES:
https://mega.nz/file/Ps5TSZAA#BnVU4_e0p ... OMkKDfSZBY

And as a last note,
Exc many CTG books...Eman exp (shared by Mr. Cevdet) is entered as well...
It's only one with larger size, close to 1.6 GB. I am perfectly aware of that
It's not much fair.. but if nothing else..we'll have chances to compare...right ?

Greetings )

UPDATE 4

The Leader: Broth - released on 23.09.2024
2nd DeadLy CRiMe - released on 13.03.2024
3rd DONFree but this time the free/public one...

Ok chess friends it's time for more various openings..
For example, below standing is more based on TREND..
So via including CCRL, CEGT, Balsa, Oliprog... books,
We will have more data...and will be clear which are
Better in overall as well..

Btw, so far the overall draws are higher than all recent SIZE tourneys,
Reason, simply due to these books + exp file contain more moves, lines,
Moreover, ShashChess + Spectral are little bit more Drawish than Cfish...

One thing more,
If you going to ask again, current Giant CS is strongest...? this time
I have some doubts...sometimes higher draw stats don't mean stronger...
Sure this is my opinion.. any opinions are welcomed over these issues )

Breaking News (26.09.2024):
Giant Size CS (256 MB- 1 GB) organized too..congrats and many thanks to all!
Well, latest entry is No Book NN, it's tuned to prefer No Book openings, played
By Top NNUE engines min. 3700+ (plus including all Duels: Book vs NNUE etc.)
Yes..the Winner of Giant CS is Broth, very impressive..!! nowadays Hurnavich's
Books are unstoppable as well... 2nd: Deadly Crime (by H. Can) where the 3rd:
Rank belongs to DONfree (by V. Chouhan), in short, other great performances..
Plus some books are as old dated..but they performed incredible so strong too!
E.g C.B Conqueror: 2023, Varied: 2022, Alchemist: 2023, 1337chess: 2022 etc.
Ok..chess friends as final words: urgently I need to take a good rest, you know,
In latest days, actually from past to present I organize too many tourneys, Btw,
I don't know how does it look like from your side? But believe Me, not so easy..
One mistake and all is gone but thanks to God, all worked flawlessly and frankly
Especially the hardest tournaments that ever I organized are Number Ones CS,
So many Champs are created+ all in short time are tested: record of Guinness?)
Take care and stay safe )

The Champion (256 MB - 1 GB) Broth 36 - My Congratulations to Ian Hurnavich!

UPDATE

By the way,
I realized to share some useful stats and notes as well,
Regarding the latest organized SIZE Book Tournaments:

Code: Select all

SCCT Book Size CS I Elo Draws
Medium (16-65 MB): 3671 74%
Giant (256-1 GB): 3667 77%
Large (66-255 MB): 3654 77%
Small (Up to 15 MB): 3648 69%
More Details:
As performance stats, Top 5's highest rated books used
Top 5's highest rated books are recorded in Medium CS
The lowest draw ratio records are produced in Small CS
As Newest/ Updated books are played in Small + Medium..
The hardest tour (since via less assistance) is Small CS
Some engines (e.g ShashChess) are more Drawish than Cfish
And here just do not blame again the openings please..if not..
Sorry to say that but you are blind or simply you're just a pawn ..
And as clear proof, please check Balsa All.ctg: 79% draws
Where via Cfish: 71%, but just in case SCCT+ Berserk: 57%
It's easy to criticize...but here 'stats, facts' say the 'last' words, ok ?)

On other hand,
As usual, I'm pleased to announce for Balsa, SCCT, Unique:
My created non-tuned deep openings performed as one of best,
Sure I refer for statistics/metrics if checking my categories!

Note also that,
SPCC plus CCC's openings are belonging to much older data,
I mean in those times, their openings were better/stronger!
Nowadays CCC (chess.com) is poor: no new data to download!
At least I couldn't find..maybe I'm missing something? Where
SPCC 2024 games are non-quality (weak) if using his latest..
To be sure/for anyone missed: you can check recent XXXIV CS:
https://sites.google.com/site/computers ... deep-books

In other words, what I am trying to say, but very important:
Via very critical (weak) openings more 'fun' on scene for sure,
In same time also that means the quality is 'dead' of course !)
If not so clear..check their Blacks win. perc. 3700+ each other!
Where you'll see theirs won games are almost by White sides..hehe )
Yes..in theirs NNUE tests, unfortunately they have unusual stats!
This is not all/once more: for accurate metrics, if via weak lines:
Run please min 5000 games, otherwise it's a waste of time..Btw,
Via strong lines (under serious cond.) even 500-1000 games is ok!

And sometimes I wonder this as well,
About theirs produced weak lines/games are useful much for many?
For some maybe yes but for mostly I hardly doubt..because I think
As Nature Rules: our 'mission' should be in better way, not for worse..
I am pretty sure also they are not Top book authors.. I'm pretty sure
Also that they live in a small world, where they think and dream that
Theirs work is best...but in reality: is this true? at least not in SCCT!
Because my organized tours are hard leagues...proved, guaranteed!

And if you have questions/suggestions..feel free to ask/comment )

Best,
Sedat
